Pay for your plan with Khalti

How the workspace owner subscribes, renews, or switches plans through Khalti, and what happens on the return page.

Updated

Only the workspace owner can start a subscription payment. Managers and staff will see a permission error if they try. Open Settings → Subscription as the owner to subscribe, renew, or change plan online.

Before checkout appears

Rentrovia asks the server whether online payment is available. If Khalti is not configured on this deployment, the plan cards are hidden entirely. You will still see your current plan and vehicle usage. Contact your account manager or open a support ticket to pay another way.

Starting payment

On Subscription, the card title is Choose your plan during a trial or Change your plan on a live account. Toggle Monthly or Yearly, then click one of:

  • Subscribe to {plan} — while you are on a free trial.
  • Renew — for your current paid plan.
  • Switch to {plan} — to move to a different tier.

During trial, the plan you are using shows Your trial runs on this, not Current. Enterprise tenants on negotiated terms do not see these cards at all.

Checkout sends you to Khalti's hosted page. The amount is taken from the live catalogue, never from numbers you type in a browser.

Onboarding checkout

After setup, step 2 is Choose a plan. You can Pay with Khalti or Continue with my free trial. Skipping does not stop your trial. You can pay later from Subscription.

After Khalti redirects back

You land on a payment return page. Rentrovia verifies the payment with Khalti server-side. It does not trust the URL status parameter. Typical messages:

  • Confirming your payment — wait a moment.
  • Payment receivedYour subscription is up to date. Thank you.
  • That payment didn't go through — the payment was not applied to your subscription.

If the result is unclear, check your Khalti history and Settings → Subscription before starting another payment. This avoids paying twice after a delayed confirmation, refund, or amount mismatch.

If you close the browser after paying, open Subscription again. A successful payment is normally reconciled automatically within about an hour.

Important caveats

  • Renewals aren't automatic. Khalti does not store your card. You pay again each billing period.
  • Paying converts a trial to a live account and clears the trial clock.
  • Renewing early extends from your existing renewal date, not from today. Remaining days are kept.
  • Khalti requires at least Rs. 10 per transaction.
